JAMIE THOMASON (Voice Casting and Dialogue Director)
Jamie performs double duty as the head of casting for DisneyToon Studios, while also performing the majority of the voice directing duties for the animation division's numerous films. Thomason has arguably directed more animated features, animated television episodes and actors of animation dialogue than any current casting and vocal director in the industry.
Thomason's credits include every film and virtually every DisneyToon Studios direct to DVD/video film and television series produced by the DisneyToon Studios and Television Animation since 1991. He was responsible for casting the Academy Award®-winning feature “Spirited Away,” created by revered Japanese filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki, and did casting and voice directing for the Academy Award®-nominated animated short “Redux Riding Hood.” His other theatrical credits include “Pooh's Heffalump Movie,” “The Jungle Book 2,” “Piglet's Big Movie,” “Return to Never Land“ and “The Tigger Movie.” Additionally, his numerous Disney Video Premieres include “The Lion King II: Simba's Pride,” “101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure,” “Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure,” “Lion King 1 1/2,” “Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch has a Glitch” and the upcoming “Bambi 2,” due on Disney DVD early next year.
Thomason's vast television credits include the first season of “Disney's Mickey MouseWorks,” the first-ever television series of original animation featuring Mickey Mouse and Disney's famed quintet of characters; the immensely popular “Gargoyles” and “Gargoyles: The Goliath Chronicles,” and “Disney's Hercules,” noted as the largest single-season voice cast in the history of television animation, with 166 voices.
