Koran Manuscript
A page from what is believed to be the oldest extant Holy Qur'an manuscript.
Surat an-Nur (Light), XXIV, 32-45, in a Holy Qur'an copied on vellum in the early Arabic script called al-maail in the late 2nd/8th century, probably in Mecca or Madinah.
It is believed to be one of the two oldest extant Qur'an manuscripts. It is written exceptionally in vertical format and is devoid of any diacritical marks other than an occasional letter pointing indicated by short strokes.
